TeachMusic

About TeachMusic

A directory of music teachers you can actually check, and the software they run their studios on.

What this is

Finding a music teacher mostly runs on word of mouth and luck. TeachMusic puts the teachers in one place: browse by instrument, suburb and price, read what they offer, and enquire directly. There is no commission and no account to create. The teacher replies to you, and the relationship is yours and theirs from the first message.

What verified means here

Teachers working with children in Australia need a state child safety credential, a Working with Children Check in most states or an accepted teacher registration. A teacher earns the Child safety verified badge on their profile after we sight that credential and confirm it with the issuing register. The Child Safety Policy is the written form of that promise.

For teachers

A listing is free. Behind it sits optional studio software: scheduling, invoicing, enquiries and family messages in one place, built for solo teachers and music schools. If you teach, start here.

Who runs it

TeachMusic is built and run in Melbourne by Eric Kuang, trading as Sounds of Music, ABN 84 785 256 878. It is Australian owned and operated, starting with Melbourne and growing city by city as verified teachers join.
