I'm a professional drummer/percussionist with many years of teaching and playing experience in many bands and drumming groups. My lessons are held in a fun and relaxed environment with a positive sense of achievement for all students and my lessons are very structured. The african drum lessons are suited for families of up to 5 persons. Students also have the option of learning both drumkit and African drumming in the lessons.

Curlew Drums

Curlew has been teaching drums for 15 years in Toorak, preparing students for AMEB and Trinity exams. Their experience includes teaching students with special needs, ASL students, and very young beginners. Lessons are tailored to each student's needs and can accommodate most curriculums, with the option to focus on techniques, advanced beats or jamming.

Dean Gordon Drums

Dean Gordon has been the drummer for Brisbane band Sheppard since 2013, with support slots for Justin Bieber, Elton John, Robbie Williams, Keith Urban and Meghan Trainor, along with festival appearances at Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and Pinkpop. He also works in the studio and teaches from his Stafford base at Dean Gordon Drums. Lessons run one on one, either face to face or online via Zoom, and he prepares students for AMEB Rockschool exams from Debut to Grade 8, including video exam submissions.
