Hey! I’m Daniel Badelita and I run Daniel Badelita Music Studio here in Narre Warren. For 26 years, I’ve been passionate and enthusiastic about playing the piano, and for the past 14 years I’ve been passing my knowledge and skills to the next generation of musicians who share a similar passion for music. I am a qualified primary and secondary school teacher, so I relate well to students of all ages and levels. I have developed my own method for teaching which focuses on thorough technique. Through this method, I have helped many students experience outstanding results. My students generally stay with me for many years and most of them continue learning the violin until they reach and pass the highest AMEB levels. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from the ANU School of Music and has also studied at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, including with members of the Sydney Symphony Orchestra trumpet section. Natalie Cermak is a Conservatorium trained singing and guitar teacher based in Highgate Hill, with 25 years of teaching behind her. Her lessons begin with technical vocal work including diaphragm and breathing control, ear training, scales and diction exercises, and address habits such as throat strain and nasality before moving into creative work. She provides written modules and practice discs, sets weekly home practice, and adapts to different learning styles. Students are entered in talent contests, end of year performances and shows around Brisbane, with paid gigs booked for advanced students and vocals recorded to CD using Pro-Tools.

Alan Chan Violin Lessons at your Home

Alan Chan has been teaching piano and violin for 20 years and holds AMEB Teacher Number 94889, registered in May 2003. He runs a YouTube education channel featuring recordings of AMEB, ABRSM and Trinity exam pieces, including performances of all grades in the 2026 Piano Series 19, and the channel has passed 110,000,000 views and 110,000 subscribers, earning a YouTube Silver Play Button award in 2022. Jonathan Tosio holds a BMus (perf) and STCA (Primary), and has taught cello for 16 years, including at Camberwell Grammar, Trinity Grammar, Xavier College and East Bentleigh Primary School in its Steiner stream. He teaches from a home studio in Windsor, drawing on both Suzuki and Traditional methods and adapting his approach to each student. Lessons focus on efficient body set-up and tone, with a preparatory period offered for young Suzuki students aged 3 to 6. Prospective students are welcome to observe a lesson before starting.

Dr John Phillips holds a PhD and a BMusHons, and has been teaching for 30 years. He has worked as an accompanist and vocal coach, prepared students for AMEB exams, and taught music theory, song writing, voice production and public speaking. Abel Stahlut holds a Bachelor of Arts with an Extended Music major from the University of Queensland and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Queensland University of Technology, and has been teaching guitar for 15 years. His teaching has spanned school students from primary through high school as well as adult beginners and returning players. Annette holds an A.Mus.A., A.T.C.L., Performance Certificate and a B.Mus., and has 36 years of performing experience alongside 28 years of teaching. Zoey Chan holds an Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music teaching qualification, gained in 2009, and has been teaching for eight years in studios, homes and schools. Crystal Chuang holds an AMEB AMusA diploma and achieved 49 out of 50 in Extension Music for the HSC. Based in Carlingford, she has taught piano for over five years and tutored children for over eight, preparing students for AMEB examinations and teaching up to 8th grade piano. Her lessons build a technical foundation with attention to finger technique and expression, and she sets goals with parents in mind while working on concentration and confidence.

Casey Greene graduated in Jazz Studies from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 1985 and studied under Don Burrows AO MBE. Casey worked full time in Sydney musical theatre from 1985 to 2004, playing in productions including Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Les Miserables and Chicago, and has performed as a jazz soloist across the UK. Teaching has spanned schools in Australia, the UK and Wales, along with private one to one lessons from 2004 to 2020, with students going on to full time university music study. Lessons cover clarinet, saxophone and flute, are held online via video call with flexible scheduling by request, and include preparation for classical or jazz exams.

Erin Mannix holds a British Diploma of Musical Theatre from Associated Studios and completed full time Acting for Stage and Screen at Patrick School of the Arts, along with study at Justin Lehmann Acting Studio, short courses with NIDA, APO Arts Academy Melbourne, ASA, AAA, The Space and Andrew Byrne, and Estill Method vocal training. Her private singing training has been with Leontine Hass, Adam Lyon, Amanda Colliver and Martin Croft, and she has performed in the contemporary music scene since age 13 in stage bands, choirs, bands, duos and as a solo vocalist nationally, as well as in theatre productions including Phantom of the Opera, Fiddler on the Roof, Wicked, Beauty and the Beast, Pride and Prejudice and Repentance Creek. Lessons are hands-on and practical, tailored to each student, combining vocal exercises and warmups with chosen repertoire and a holistic focus on safe, effective vocal technique. She teaches in St Kilda East and Balaclava, St Albans and online.

Violin Lessons

Molly holds a Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Violin, Advanced Performance from the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and a Graduate Diploma in Music Performance from the University of Queensland, and is currently studying viola at the Australian National Academy of Music. She freelances with Camerata, Queensland's Chamber Orchestra, as well as the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Opera Australia Orchestra. She has taught privately and in schools in both Brisbane and Melbourne. Her violin and viola lessons are engaging and positive, with a focus on the essential basics.

Clarinet Lessons

Nick holds a Bachelor of Music in Clarinet Performance with High Distinction from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, along with an AMEB AMusA in clarinet. A freelance musician based in Sydney, he has performed in orchestras, chamber ensembles and as a soloist, won the Sydney Conservatorium and UNSW Concerto Competitions, and received the Patricia Lucas Music Achievement Scholarship and the Edna Wilde Scholarship. He has published arrangements for woodwind instruments, works in music recording and production, and is familiar with the HSC and AMEB syllabuses. His Turramurra lessons are goal focused and efficient, with enrolment numbers limited, and he prepares students for competitions and scholarships.

Piano Lessons

Daniel Mougerman completed a Bachelor of Music at Monash University in 2015, studying with Paul Grabowsky, Tony Gould and Sam Keevers, and has since taken Afro-Cuban piano lessons with Alejandro Falcon in Cuba, jazz piano with Benito Gonzales in New York, and private tuition from John Taylor in Italy and Brent Fischer. He performs with The Bamboos, Adrian Eagle, Rita Satch and his own groups, and has toured Australia, Europe and the USA with appearances at The Great Escape, Jam Cruise, Byron Bay Bluesfest and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. From his Balaclava studio he prepares students for AMEB exams as well as tertiary institution and scholarship auditions, with students winning competitions around Victoria, being selected as pianists for the Victorian State School Spectacular, and going on to study at Monash University and the VCA. He encourages students to seek out performance opportunities, whether they are working towards exams or playing recreationally.

Singing Lessons

Viva School of Music teaches from studios in Camberwell and Blackburn, with a teaching team holding qualifications from institutions including the Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland Conservatoriums, Monash University, Berklee College of Music, the Conservatorium of Amsterdam and Lasalle College of the Arts, along with masters degrees from Rostock, Tehran and PA University. Drum lessons cover jazz, classical and contemporary genres. A free first lesson is offered, and students have their playing captured through performance recordings.

Henry Kafoa holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre and a Master of Music Studies in Vocal Pedagogy from Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, where he also undertook PhD research focussed on musical theatre vocal health. His performance credits include Black Box, The Sunshine Club with Queensland Theatre, Once on This Island with Altitude Theatre, The Happy Prince at Metro Arts, Head Over Heels and Tick, Tick... Boom! with That Production Company, Yank! with Understudy Productions, and Miss Saigon at QCGU. He has taught professional music theatre performers and recording artists as well as open mic enthusiasts and hobby singers. His South Brisbane voice lessons are built on technique-based vocal training in a safe, supportive environment, with attention to each singer's authentic individual voice.

Guitar Lessons

Jordan Brodie holds a BMus and graduated from the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in jazz guitar. He has recorded two fingerstyle guitar albums, toured Australia and New Zealand, and performed in Canada, Ireland and Germany, and is a Queensland Music Award winning guitarist and composer. He has taught guitar at his home studio and in a school, and also runs group ukulele and guitar classes for those with no prior experience. Lessons are available in Paddington or via Skype.

Viola da Gamba Lessons

Dr Shaun Ng studied viola da gamba with Jose Vazquez and has recorded extensively, including a double CD of Telemann's 12 fantasias and 2 lessons for solo viola da gamba on a 1739 Jean Nicolas Lambert instrument, a solo disc of music by Mr. de Machy on a copy of the 1683 Michel Collichon viol, a debut theorbo CD of Robert de Visee, and a recording of Marin Marais from Pieces a une et a deux violes (1686). He has also recorded with lutenist Lucas Harris and collaborated with keyboardist Diana Weston on a CD for viola da gamba, square piano and harpsichord. His violin lessons are structured and goal focused, building a technical foundation alongside musical understanding. Lessons are offered in person and online with professional video and audio, and he begins with a free 15 minute online consultation.

Samuel Davey - Guitar Tuition & Repair

Samuel Davey teaches guitar in Box Hill South, drawing on seven years of teaching experience. He spent five years in guitar construction, maintenance and repair at Maton Guitars in Box Hill, and also offers services such as restringing, setups, pickup installation, fretwork, nut and saddle making and tuning machine replacement. Lessons are run privately, one to one.

PIANO / KEYBOARD LESSONS

Anton holds an AMusA and is studying Composition and Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. He has prepared students for AMEB and VCE exams and tutors VCE and IB Music, alongside teaching classical and popular repertoire, jazz, improvisation, composition, orchestration, arranging and ear training, as well as trumpet in classical, jazz and contemporary styles. Lessons are personalised to each student's level and interests, covering technique, theory, aural, rhythm and sight reading. He teaches in person in Australia and over Zoom from Boston.

Singing lessons for neurodivergent people and people with disabilities

Jackie studied Jazz (Voice) Performance at the Victorian College of the Arts, and also holds Honours in Psychology and a UK Masters scholarship examining the role of music in conflict resolution. She has worked as a professional singer for over 15 years, performing regularly in Melbourne as a jazz and contemporary vocalist, and was classically trained as a child in voice, clarinet and piano. Her lessons are tailored to individual goals, with a focus on vocal technique and performance skills, pitch and harmony exercises, and work on performance songs. She has experience working with students with ASD and disabilities, adapts lessons for all abilities, and teaches at students' homes or online via Zoom or Skype.

Beginner Acoustic Guitar Lessons - Coral Renee

Coral Renee graduated from the CMAA Junior Academy of Country Music in 2023, took part in the Talent Development Project in 2024, and holds a TAFE Certificate 3 in Music Industry. Isobel Archer is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium piano program and has studied and performed in Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France. Clarinet Lessons: specialising in beginners, audition and exam preparation

Andrew Fong trained at the Australian National Academy of Music, studying with Paul Dean, David Griffiths and David Thomas, and taking lessons with Michael Collins, Thorsten Johanns, Dimitri Ashkenazy, Phillip Arkinstall and Justin Beere. He made his ABC radio solo debut in 2018 with Debussy's Premiere Rhapsody, toured internationally with the Australian Youth Orchestra in 2019, and has performed with the Australian World Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Victoria and Victorian Opera. He currently performs with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Southern Cross Soloists and the Candlelight Concert Orchestra in Brisbane, and is a specialist clarinet tutor at John Paul College and Stuartholme School, where students have progressed past AMus level and into tertiary music study. Music Fun for Everyone on Piano

Roslyn Walters is a Certified Ultimate Music Theory Teacher who has taught piano and classroom music for nearly thirty years. She has prepared students for exams, including AMEB theory to Grade 4. Lessons in Noble Park are offered in person or online, with an emphasis on enjoyment and encouragement, and a free introductory lesson is available.

Bass Guitar Lessons

The Learning Lounge in Turramurra has 14 teachers working with around 250 students a week across voice, piano, guitar, saxophone, violin, clarinet, trumpet, bass and flute. Jonah Grant holds a Bachelor of Music Performance (Jazz) from Monash University and works as a double bass player in Melbourne. He teaches from home in Elsternwick and can also travel to a student's location for a travel fee. Dr Frankie Dyson Reilly holds doctoral-level qualifications in music and has composed chamber and orchestral music, created jingles, and scored short live action and animated films. Many students have been entered into piano exams. Lessons in Moorooka are tailored to each student's ability and goals, covering repertoire, technique, theory, aural, composition, improvisation and notation, with musical games used for younger students. Public performance is encouraged.

Joseph Fiddes holds a Diploma in Music, a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Mechatronics Engineering, all from the University of Melbourne. He has 20 years of piano playing experience, completed VCE in 2018 with subjects including Music Performance, and did some tutoring in 2017. His lessons in piano, theory and composition centre on practice across a varied set of problems and attention to detail, and he prepares students for exams.

Banjo Lessons

Gus Macmillan has played banjo professionally for 35 years, including 21 years touring Australia and 11 years touring America, Europe and Asia with the band Blue Grassy Knoll. He studied with banjo teachers in the USA in 2003, has taken masterclasses with Bela Fleck and Noam Pikelny, and won the two tune pick off at the 2005 Guildford Banjo Jamboree. He tailors the syllabus to each student, working on picking technique from the start and giving achievable tunes early, along with his own written out tunes and exercises, slow recordings and playlists drawn from YouTube and Spotify. Lessons run from a dedicated space at his home in Brunswick, with Zoom available for students outside the Melbourne metro area.

Dean Gordon Drums

Dean Gordon has been the drummer for Brisbane band Sheppard since 2013, with support slots for Justin Bieber, Elton John, Robbie Williams, Keith Urban and Meghan Trainor, along with festival appearances at Rock in Rio, Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits and Pinkpop. He also works in the studio and teaches from his Stafford base at Dean Gordon Drums. Lessons run one on one, either face to face or online via Zoom, and he prepares students for AMEB Rockschool exams from Debut to Grade 8, including video exam submissions.

Bass Guitar Lessons

Jon Randall spent 11 years performing in cover bands in the USA and 20 years doing the same in Australia, and he posts free bass lessons on YouTube. He teaches students in the USA via Skype and has had students perform live with his band there. Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, with a structured option mixing theory and songs, and cover practical ground such as learning songs quickly, stage notes, recording, video editing and website building. He also helps students learn songs for their bands, write bass lines and prepare for auditions, offers loaner basses and amps for beginners, and teaches online via Skype, FaceTime and Zoom.

Hosanna's Piano Lessons

Hosanna teaches piano in the Beverly Hills and Penshurst area of Sydney, and prepares students for AMEB Grades 1 to 4. Lessons cover sight-reading, aural skills, scales and performance.

Guitar Lessons - Lee Jones, Ph.D.

Lee Jones teaches guitar in Melbourne and prepares students for graded repertoire through ABRSM, Rockschool and AMEB. He has authored an ebook available on ResearchGate. His lessons emphasise fundamental technique across rhythm and lead guitar, covering both plectrum and fingerstyle playing, sight-reading, ear training and transcription. He also works on improvisation, composition and arranging, and helps students build practice routines.

Thomas Summerfield teaches piano in Spotswood and prepares students for AMEB piano examinations. Lessons follow the AMEB syllabus structure, opening with a short block of technical work such as scales and arpeggios before spending most of the time on repertoire chosen to be challenging but achievable. He sets recommended daily practice and encourages students to sit at least one exam each year, while remaining open to alternative pathways if requested.
