  Amazing school and classes! My boy is absolutely loving playing guitar and has progressed so far in just 1 term. I love that it is structured and each week something new is learnt whilst always keeping it fun and light hearted so it still remains fun and enjoyable for the kids. Also love that each term a performance is offered for the kids to show off their skills and build the confidence in performing.

  This place is extremely hard-selling and profit driven. After making one initial enquiry, we received multiple follow-up calls encouraging us to enrol our child. Although we ultimately chose not to enrol, we were gifted one free term of Pre-Notes from a friend. Unfortunately, our experience left us deeply disappointed. The pricing feels difficult to justify — particularly for 30-minute lessons — and the additional costs associated with performance days make the overall experience feel disproportionately expensive for what is being provided. What was particularly upsetting was the way the final performance and rewards were handled. My child was not given the gold coin - which was being given as a form of recognition for the children who were moving up and enrolled into the next term. He was understandably confused and hurt. As one of the older children in the group, he had participated enthusiastically and, from what we observed, performed extremely well. Seeing other children receive recognition while he was seemingly excluded was heartbreaking for us as parents. For a program aimed at introducing 3–4-year-olds to music, we expected the emphasis to be on encouragement, confidence and making children feel proud of their participation — not on whether their parents had committed to another term. Parents should look beyond the polished sales pitch and compare lesson length, total costs, performance fees and, most importantly, how their child is actually treated. There are many other music programs where families can get much better value while giving their children a genuinely positive introduction to music.

  My 4 year old son has been attending the key notes class since last term. With no prior background or experience with or even exposure to musical instruments, it’s amazing how quickly he has picked up basic music concepts. He loves the piano sessions, he loves his teacher (Zara) who truly does a fabulous job with the little ones. And I always enjoy chatting with the super friendly staff and other parents in the lovely waiting area where there’s always an instrument for my baby to explore as well! Its hard to find other music classes that do serious instrument teaching (in a very fun manner) for such a young age in a group setting. I should also mention, the classrooms with the pianos are very well set up with ample of natural light and the location is super convenient to get to by tram. I highly recommend Sharon Davis’ piano classes.

  * The game and story based teaching approach is engaging and works well for young children. However, our overall experience leaves us concerned. * There is a strong commercial focus throughout many interactions. Parents are persistently encouraged to leave positive reviews, and children are offered small rewards (e.g., lollipops) for doing so, which feels inappropriate. * There are frequent additional costs, including performers being required to purchase their own event tickets and high holiday program fees, which make the experience feel more profit-driven than community-oriented. * For Halloween, children are encouraged to bring friends, yet no arrangements are made to accommodate what is effectively double the number of children in the classroom. It appears more focused on adding names to a mailing list and marketing than on ensuring a quality experience for families. * While the teaching style may suit some families, the overall emphasis on upselling and revenue generation is off-putting. Families should be aware of this approach before enrolling.
