Group Singing Lessons

Annette holds an A.Mus.A., A.T.C.L., Performance Certificate and a B.Mus., and has 36 years of performing experience alongside 28 years of teaching. At her Ferny Hills studio she covers strings, piano and voice, and prepares students for A.M.E.B. examinations. Lessons can follow either an exam pathway or a recreational one, depending on what the student is after.

Zoey Chan holds an Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music teaching qualification, gained in 2009, and has been teaching for eight years in studios, homes and schools. Her Coorparoo studio, Brisbane Piano Studio, teaches 55 to 60 students each week, prepares students for AMEB exams and holds student concerts twice a year. Lessons take place either in the studio on a Kawai grand piano or in students' homes. She works on playing, listening and reading skills, encourages cheerful practice habits and follows each student's own musical tastes.

Mobile Clarinet Lessons

Scott has been teaching for eight years and brings over 12 years of performance experience, along with competition wins at state and local level. He runs a mobile teaching service from Kenmore, working with students in their own homes on piano, saxophone and clarinet. He also arranges requested songs to suit each student's level, with the aim of motivating them to keep improving.

Saxophone Lessons

Carl Bundesen holds an AMEB LMusA, a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Piano and a Bachelor of Education (Secondary), along with AMEB Grade 8 Saxophone and Grade 6 Theory. He studied under Dr Anna Grinberg and has been teaching for 10 years. Lessons run from his Ashgrove home studio, which has two Yamaha acoustic pianos. His teaching focuses on technique and musicality, and covers both performance and music theory.

Piano Lessons

Jo Gibson holds an MMus, BMus(Hons), BAppSc(Dist), LMusA and AMusA. She works as a professional pianist and as an adjudicator. Lessons are private and one to one, taught from her studio in Enoggera, Brisbane.

Piano Lessons

Cassandra Hansen and Daniel Grindrod trained at the Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium, where their work has included roles as Music Director and Piano Accompanist. They play classical, jazz and musical theatre repertoire, and their students have auditioned successfully for the Bachelor of Music at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and achieved Honours (A) and High Distinctions (A+) in music examinations. Lessons in cello, violin, viola and piano are tailored to each student and run either in the Cornubia studio or online via Skype, with performance opportunities offered each semester.

Piano Lessons

Dr Frankie Dyson Reilly holds doctoral-level qualifications in music and has composed chamber and orchestral music, created jingles, and scored short live action and animated films. Many students have been entered into piano exams. Lessons in Moorooka are tailored to each student's ability and goals, covering repertoire, technique, theory, aural, composition, improvisation and notation, with musical games used for younger students. Public performance is encouraged.

Zhong Ruan（Chinese Guitar）

Sally teaches guitar, mandolin and piano in Brisbane, and her students have passed early-grade AMEB examinations. Her lessons focus on building interest and understanding of music in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. She works patiently with children.

Piano Lessons for Adults

Freyja Phillips teaches piano in Bardon, building students' understanding of music theory and how music works. Lessons draw on repertoire chosen by the student and are directed toward each person's own goals, with an emphasis on self-directed, autonomous learning. Weekly lessons run for 30, 45 or 60 minutes, and a free trial lesson is offered.
