Hey! I’m Daniel Badelita and I run Daniel Badelita Music Studio here in Narre Warren. For 26 years, I’ve been passionate and enthusiastic about playing the piano, and for the past 14 years I’ve been passing my knowledge and skills to the next generation of musicians who share a similar passion for music. Music has shaped nearly every part of my life as I’ve completed many examinations for both pianoforte and music theory at AMEB, accompanied numerous students for examinations and concerts, accompanied a church choir for over a 2 decades, and participated in a few competitions.

Creative piano teaching for beginners, AMEB exam students, adults who want to pick up (or get back to ) piano

Hey future pianist! My name is Val and I’m a piano teacher based in Doncaster. I teach kids from 6 years old, teens, adults - basically anyone who is interested. Lesson consists of technical work, pieces and some creative time (you gotta have that!) . You can have a short lesson of 30 minutes or a longer one which is 45 minutes. Hey! I’m Jonathan, a current student at Monash University. I hold diploma level qualifications in Piano Repertoire and Music Theory, and I aim to not only deliver results, but develop a strong knowledge of technique, interpretation, and musicianship. I have an extensive 14+ year background in Piano repertoire and theory, having gone through the comprehensive process of AMEB examinations myself. I’ve been coached by top university professors, AMEB examiners and Juilliard School graduates, which has shaped my knowledge with high-level pedagogical and performance insight. Expert Tuition in Piano

Dr John Phillips holds a PhD and a BMusHons, and has been teaching for 30 years. He has worked as an accompanist and vocal coach, prepared students for AMEB exams, and taught music theory, song writing, voice production and public speaking. Piano and voice lessons are held at his St Peters studio or online, with flexible lesson times.

Group Singing Lessons

Annette holds an A.Mus.A., A.T.C.L., Performance Certificate and a B.Mus., and has 36 years of performing experience alongside 28 years of teaching. At her Ferny Hills studio she covers strings, piano and voice, and prepares students for A.M.E.B. examinations. Lessons can follow either an exam pathway or a recreational one, depending on what the student is after.

Piano Tuition Beginner-Advanced

Angus holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Music from the University of Melbourne and completed AMEB Grade 8 in 2010. He works as a pianist and keyboardist in Melbourne with 9 years of industry performance experience, and has taught for 12 years, including VCE Music preparation and AMEB exams to Grade 8. Lessons follow a personalised study program built around each student's goals, with attention to technique and musicality alongside reading, improvisation, composition, harmony and history. Online lessons use a keyboard camera view, screen sharing, whiteboard and PDF materials, email questions are answered within 24 hours, and students can take part in an annual end-of-year concert.

Piano lessons

Grace Leong is an honours graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, where she completed four years of training in music education, and has been teaching piano for seven years. She studied under Australian piano lecturer and examiner Paul Rickard-Ford, and in 2008 conducted research with Dr James Renwick on parental views regarding child musical learning. Her Hurstville lessons are tailored to each student's needs, with weekly lesson duration set according to grade and ongoing communication with parents and students. She teaches in English, Mandarin, Cantonese and Malay.

Angus holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Contemporary Music from the University of Melbourne and completed AMEB Grade 8 in 2010. Vivian Chen holds an Associate Diploma (2008) and a Licentiate Diploma (2010), and attended Strathcona Baptist Girls' Grammar School on a music scholarship, where she was School Music Captain. She has led multiple ensembles, music concerts and recitals, featured in pianist Alan Kogosowski's concert, won national competitions and local eisteddfods, and appeared on radio and in newspapers locally and nationally. Alongside nine years of teaching, she works full time as a secondary school teacher. Piano lessons are held at her home in Bulleen.

Zoey Chan holds an Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music teaching qualification, gained in 2009, and has been teaching for eight years in studios, homes and schools. Her Coorparoo studio, Brisbane Piano Studio, teaches 55 to 60 students each week, prepares students for AMEB exams and holds student concerts twice a year. Lessons take place either in the studio on a Kawai grand piano or in students' homes. She works on playing, listening and reading skills, encourages cheerful practice habits and follows each student's own musical tastes.

Crystal Chuang

Crystal Chuang holds an AMEB AMusA diploma and achieved 49 out of 50 in Extension Music for the HSC. Based in Carlingford, she has taught piano for over five years and tutored children for over eight, preparing students for AMEB examinations and teaching up to 8th grade piano. Her lessons build a technical foundation with attention to finger technique and expression, and she sets goals with parents in mind while working on concentration and confidence.

Mobile Clarinet Lessons

Scott has been teaching for eight years and brings over 12 years of performance experience, along with competition wins at state and local level. He runs a mobile teaching service from Kenmore, working with students in their own homes on piano, saxophone and clarinet. He also arranges requested songs to suit each student's level, with the aim of motivating them to keep improving.

Piano Lessons

Daniel Mougerman completed a Bachelor of Music at Monash University in 2015, studying with Paul Grabowsky, Tony Gould and Sam Keevers, and has since taken Afro-Cuban piano lessons with Alejandro Falcon in Cuba, jazz piano with Benito Gonzales in New York, and private tuition from John Taylor in Italy and Brent Fischer. He performs with The Bamboos, Adrian Eagle, Rita Satch and his own groups, and has toured Australia, Europe and the USA with appearances at The Great Escape, Jam Cruise, Byron Bay Bluesfest and the Melbourne International Jazz Festival. From his Balaclava studio he prepares students for AMEB exams as well as tertiary institution and scholarship auditions, with students winning competitions around Victoria, being selected as pianists for the Victorian State School Spectacular, and going on to study at Monash University and the VCA. He encourages students to seek out performance opportunities, whether they are working towards exams or playing recreationally.

Singing Lessons

Viva School of Music teaches from studios in Camberwell and Blackburn, with a teaching team holding qualifications from institutions including the Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland Conservatoriums, Monash University, Berklee College of Music, the Conservatorium of Amsterdam and Lasalle College of the Arts, along with masters degrees from Rostock, Tehran and PA University. Drum lessons cover jazz, classical and contemporary genres. A free first lesson is offered, and students have their playing captured through performance recordings.

PIANO / KEYBOARD LESSONS

Anton holds an AMusA and is studying Composition and Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. He has prepared students for AMEB and VCE exams and tutors VCE and IB Music, alongside teaching classical and popular repertoire, jazz, improvisation, composition, orchestration, arranging and ear training, as well as trumpet in classical, jazz and contemporary styles. Lessons are personalised to each student's level and interests, covering technique, theory, aural, rhythm and sight reading. He teaches in person in Australia and over Zoom from Boston.

Saxophone Lessons

Carl Bundesen holds an AMEB LMusA, a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Piano and a Bachelor of Education (Secondary), along with AMEB Grade 8 Saxophone and Grade 6 Theory. He studied under Dr Anna Grinberg and has been teaching for 10 years. Lessons run from his Ashgrove home studio, which has two Yamaha acoustic pianos. His teaching focuses on technique and musicality, and covers both performance and music theory.

Any Age or Ability - Piano Lessons

Isobel Archer is a graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium piano program and has studied and performed in Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and France. She teaches from a private studio with a grand piano in Centennial Park and prepares students for AMEB grades. Lessons are shaped around each student's own musical goals, covering theory, aural skills and technical work, and she also supports those who simply want to play for enjoyment.

Music Fun for Everyone on Piano

Roslyn Walters is a Certified Ultimate Music Theory Teacher who has taught piano and classroom music for nearly thirty years. She has prepared students for exams, including AMEB theory to Grade 4. Lessons in Noble Park are offered in person or online, with an emphasis on enjoyment and encouragement, and a free introductory lesson is available.

Bass Guitar Lessons

The Learning Lounge in Turramurra has 14 teachers working with around 250 students a week across voice, piano, guitar, saxophone, violin, clarinet, trumpet, bass and flute. Lessons are one on one in dedicated rooms, with some teachers offering AMEB and Rock School exams. Students can be prepared for graded exams on request, or supported in learning for fun or for playing in a band.

Piano Lessons

Jo Gibson holds an MMus, BMus(Hons), BAppSc(Dist), LMusA and AMusA. She works as a professional pianist and as an adjudicator. Lessons are private and one to one, taught from her studio in Enoggera, Brisbane.

Piano Lessons

Cassandra Hansen and Daniel Grindrod trained at the Griffith University Queensland Conservatorium, where their work has included roles as Music Director and Piano Accompanist. They play classical, jazz and musical theatre repertoire, and their students have auditioned successfully for the Bachelor of Music at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University and achieved Honours (A) and High Distinctions (A+) in music examinations. Lessons in cello, violin, viola and piano are tailored to each student and run either in the Cornubia studio or online via Skype, with performance opportunities offered each semester.

Piano Lessons

Dr Frankie Dyson Reilly holds doctoral-level qualifications in music and has composed chamber and orchestral music, created jingles, and scored short live action and animated films. Many students have been entered into piano exams. Lessons in Moorooka are tailored to each student's ability and goals, covering repertoire, technique, theory, aural, composition, improvisation and notation, with musical games used for younger students. Public performance is encouraged.

Piano Tutor (Improv, Theory, Composition, Sight-Reading)

Joseph Fiddes holds a Diploma in Music, a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Mechatronics Engineering, all from the University of Melbourne. He has 20 years of piano playing experience, completed VCE in 2018 with subjects including Music Performance, and did some tutoring in 2017. His lessons in piano, theory and composition centre on practice across a varied set of problems and attention to detail, and he prepares students for exams.

Hosanna's Piano Lessons

Hosanna teaches piano in the Beverly Hills and Penshurst area of Sydney, and prepares students for AMEB Grades 1 to 4. Lessons cover sight-reading, aural skills, scales and performance.

Piano Lessons, Guitar Lessons, Vocal Lessons

Core Studios Sydney runs a home based studio in Burwood teaching guitar, piano and voice. The studio is a registered Creative Kids provider, with lessons available in 30, 45 or 60 minute formats. Teaching covers both one to one private lessons and small group sessions for piano and guitar.

Thomas Summerfield

Thomas Summerfield teaches piano in Spotswood and prepares students for AMEB piano examinations. Lessons follow the AMEB syllabus structure, opening with a short block of technical work such as scales and arpeggios before spending most of the time on repertoire chosen to be challenging but achievable. He sets recommended daily practice and encourages students to sit at least one exam each year, while remaining open to alternative pathways if requested.

Zhong Ruan（Chinese Guitar）

Sally teaches guitar, mandolin and piano in Brisbane, and her students have passed early-grade AMEB examinations. Her lessons focus on building interest and understanding of music in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. She works patiently with children.

Piano Lessons

Leaders of Rock in Doncaster teaches piano and guitar with a focus on chords played alongside singing, as well as reading music and using finger diagrams. Lessons also prepare students to perform live.

Clarinet Tutoring | Teacher travels to your home for lessons

Gliss Music School teaches violin, cello, clarinet and piano from its base in Epping, and prepares students for AMEB exams. Tutors travel to the student's home for lessons, and a trial lesson is offered so families can check the match with a teacher before continuing.

Piano Lessons for Adults

Freyja Phillips teaches piano in Bardon, building students' understanding of music theory and how music works. Lessons draw on repertoire chosen by the student and are directed toward each person's own goals, with an emphasis on self-directed, autonomous learning. Weekly lessons run for 30, 45 or 60 minutes, and a free trial lesson is offered.

Private piano lessons

CT Piano Studio in Ramsgate offers piano and voice tuition with lessons described as fun and focused. Students are given performance opportunities through an end of year recital held annually, as well as an invitational recital.
