The Learning Lounge in Turramurra has 14 teachers working with around 250 students a week across voice, piano, guitar, saxophone, violin, clarinet, trumpet, bass and flute. Lessons are one on one in dedicated rooms, with some teachers offering AMEB and Rock School exams. Students can be prepared for graded exams on request, or supported in learning for fun or for playing in a band.

He teaches students in the USA via Skype and has had students perform live with his band there. Lessons are tailored to each student's goals, with a structured option mixing theory and songs, and cover practical ground such as learning songs quickly, stage notes, recording, video editing and website building. He also helps students learn songs for their bands, write bass lines and prepare for auditions, offers loaner basses and amps for beginners, and teaches online via Skype, FaceTime and Zoom.
