Can you sound like an elephant? Or hop like a bunny? Our Time encourages your child to uncover an engaging musical world while building confidence, self-control and communications skills. Singing, imitating sounds, rhyming and object identification foster language skills. Creative movement to various musical “moods” develops a sense of balance, timing and spatial awareness. Listening and turn-taking encourage blossoming social skills. Kindermusik Our Time is designed for children 1½ years to 3 years of age. Along with an accompanying parent or caregiver, children meet weekly for a 45-minute class and enjoy singing, moving, listening and interacting socially, and playing simple instruments. Exploration Time encourages a child's discovery of specially designed instruments, textures, sounds and movements; language skills are fostered with singing, sound imitation, and vocal play; Music & Movement Story Time encourages emergent literacy skills; and creative dancing affirms a child's urge to move.

Kindermusik is much more than a weekly class, and the At Home Materials you receive from your educator are just the tools you need to continue that one of a kind experience together as a family. While we plant the seeds of learning through music in the classroom, you will use the At Home Materials at home to cultivate lifelong learning.

Family involvement in your child's learning is a fundamental cornerstone of the Kindermusik philosophy, because we believe that the parent is the child’s most important teacher, and the home is the most important place for a child’s learning to take root and grow. After all, there’s no better way to nurture your child’s development – and you’ll love doing it together – every day!

What makes your child giggle? What makes your child feel emotionally secure? A toddler can seem so emotionally perplexing: needing to be held, feeling the security of loving arms, then in the next moment needing independence, pushing away and emphatically saying, “Me do it!” The Kangaroo has become a symbol of the emotional struggle of the toddler between dependence and independence.

How does a toddler move? Or should I say wiggle? Many songs, dances and activities in this unit were chosen to reflect the importance of movement in life of the toddler. A favourite movement activity is in the story time book – “Watch Me!”. From the gentle sounds of the ‘Skye Boat Song’ to the humorous unique sounds in ‘Leap Frog’, Wiggles & Giggles, will definitely excite the toddler and the adults.

“Wishy Washy Wee” is a favourite of many Kindermusik parents. Many parents stating that bath time was a big hassle until Wishy Washy Wee made each bath time session heaps of fun. The book “Pete and PJ”, brings water play to life….

Studio Policy:
•    Deposits for a new semester are non-refundable but can be credited to future Kindermusik lessons in extreme circumstances. 
•    If a student withdraws from the program before lessons start, a non-refundable administration fee of $35 will be withdrawn. 
•    Materials paid for and received by the student cannot be refunded once classes have started. 
•    Lesson fees will not be refunded after the term beings unless a new student can be found to fill the space in the class.
•    Classes cancelled by the teacher due to insufficient enrolment will be fully refunded, made-up or credited.
