Ronlyn Adams - B.Mus.hons. (Perf) After completing her secondary schooling in Rockhampton, Ronlyn was awarded an Ormond Exhibition scholarship to study with Roy Shepherd the senior lecturer in piano and Sergio de Pieri senior lecturer in organ at Melbourne University. She was one of three asked to study for an Honours Degree in Performance to complete her Bachelor of Music. Following 2 years with the Education Dept. she joined the Yamaha Music Foundation where she trained music teachers Australia wide, took Advanced Classes with teachers and students as well as working with selected children on Composition towards their performances in Japan and America. Seven of her students won the Australian Final of the Yamaha Electone Festival with the Senior four then going to Paris and Tokyo to compete in the World Finals with one winning $10,000 for his second placement. Her joy and passion for teaching is obvious with her focus on spreading a love and understanding of music through an analytical approach to all aspects of piano performance given in an experiential atmosphere full of enjoyment. |
